Rules:

1. No plagiarism. works must be written and conceived of by Elftowners and posted here by the original author.

2. Old work allowed. Old works are allowed in this contest, provided they have not already been submitted to another official Elftown Contest and fit the theme. If your work has been submitted in an unofficial contest, then you are still free to enter it here.

7. Queries: If you wish to discuss something about how the contest is run, or the rules, then please use the official contest forum: <forum:Elftown contests>! If you wish to bring up a query about whether a certain entry fits the theme, please speak up before the entries make it to the polls. You can still speak up even after the contest is closed, as long as the polls have not yet gone up yet. Complaints received after the aforementioned will not be considered valid. However, if you wish to query whether an entry is stolen art or breaks any other rules, you may still bring this up after the poll has been made.

2006-02-14 [Goldice]: i cant find the winners

2006-02-14 [Teufelsweib]: The featured poem slot is on the main street.

2006-02-14 [Heather Thomason]: so has the winners been posted yet?

2006-02-14 [Sunrose]: Not yet :)

2006-02-14 [eskimo_bob]: oh okay.. thanks

2006-02-14 [Heather Thomason]: so do u know how much longer it will be?

2006-02-14 [Sunrose]: Stop asking would help.

2006-02-15 [Heather Thomason]: well that was rude.........!

2006-02-15 [Charybdis]: Please keep in mind, [Heather Thomason], that not only did this contest only close a few days ago, but that there are also three pages of entries to read through and a number of winners to be selected, which will take time even without considering the fact that whoever is judging has an offline life to lead as well. The winners will be announced; be patient.

2006-02-15 [Tawnee.]: where is the featured poetry???????????????????

2006-02-15 [RiddleRose]: it's right below the art winners, but i don't think it's actually posted yet. there are rather a lot of poems for the judges to go through! >.<

2006-02-15 [Eveningsdawn]: Ohhhhhh. That message makes so much more sense now.

2006-02-15 [Diiwica]: lol, judging the poetry is a rather hard thing to do, being there are so many that have been posted.

2006-02-15 [True, plain and simple]: Naah..I just haven't gotten around to posting the winners yet, mainly because so many people keep complaining, and I am quite busy. -shrugs-

2006-02-15 [RiddleRose]: and they're all so goshbedarnded good! good luck all! ^.^

2006-02-15 [Diiwica]: That would be a good reason not to^.^

2006-02-17 [Sunrose]: By the by, the winners were posted on Mainstreet a day or so ago. Take a look at the daily/featured poem slot :) Congrats winners!

2006-02-17 [Tawnee.]: a good poem doesn't always rhyme.. so why were all the winners rhyming poems?.... i think that there should be differnen't judges that know that there is more to a poem then rhyming!

2006-02-17 [Sunrose]: I don't think judges are obligated to pick a poem that doesn't rhyme, just to get different kind of poems. They have to be good.

2006-02-17 [Teufelsweib]: besides the rhyming part, the poems are great. rhyming is used to give the poem a good flow, but there are more ways to create a good flow in a poem. the winners appearently all chose this way of writing their poem. do you really think that the judges only picked out the poems which rhymed?

2006-02-17 [Tawnee.]: I think we need differen't judges who know how to read the flow of a poem that doesn't rhyme and who has the ability to judge more types of poems
